Welcome to 2 Society Studios

October 12, 2025

Well, my sales at J1 Con were... less than I had hoped. But that means there is now a lot of new stuff for sale on this site, for the 3 people that visit it. Everything is now updated to some degree or another. I've added a section for sone of the original drawings I had made for the convention under "Comic Artwork" and the "Store" page now has some of the posters I had made plus the older posters for my View of Tulips and Stairs at Bushkill Falls. There is also a link to my RedBubble store WAY at the bottom of the store page. Check it all out. Let me know if I screwed up the programming. ChatGPT could only take me so far, so I kind of winged it. I will add more over the next few weeks.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to code in HTML5. But since I am an old man and learning new stuff is hard, I figured, screw it, let ChatGPT do it. Unfortunately, there were little discrepancies it made from page to page I did not like, so I had to learn a little. But the site is now better suited to adapt from computer to phone. I still have a lot of art to put back up, but I have 32 pieces up in the new format. Check them out over on the Original Art page. I just wanted the site to be mostly functional before J1 Con which is this coming weekend. That will focus on my comic artwork, which this site is currently devoid of. That may change after the con. We'll see.

I am not dead or missing. The last few years have been a bit of a wild ride and it has taken me a while to update the site as I wanted to learn HTML5 to catch up with the modern world. But instead of learning it, I've been using AI to shortcut my way there. I am in the process of converting, so for the 3 people that might actually visit this page on occasion, it will be a bit of a hodgepodge of old school HTML and HTML5 while I work on the conversion. Please just be patient with me.

I have decided to set a standard equation for pricing my paintings. From now on I will be multiplying the Square Inches by $2 for the base price. For smaller paintings that are framed, a set $100 fee will be added and for framed paintings above 500 square inches, a $200 fee will be added. No more gut instinct pricing as that changes with how I view a painting which is often tainted by things in my life at the time or the length of time it took me to finish the piece.

As for my summation of last year, I finished 29 pieces, surpassing 2020. I don't think I will hit that this year as the first part of the year has been very slow due to me being hit with COVID. It has only been a bit of a slight discomfort, mostly in my nose, but the haze on my concentration hit pretty hard. I do have a few paintings from 2021 up, but there will be many more to come. Check them out in the Original Art page.

I know it is cliche to say what a year 2020 was but I'm going to say it anyway. However, I am going to say it with a bit of positivity. I produced a total of 27 paintings in 2020, surpassing 2019 as my most productive year since college. Maybe it was the added stress from the Pandemic. Maybe it was just my soul sucking commute vanishing. I don't know. I just felt strong when I was in the studio. 2021 is looking like I might already be trying to out-do 2020 as I have already finished 3 paintings. By this point in 2020, I had finished 1. I am still on my quest for 500 followers somewhere, be it Instagram, Facebook, or Twitch. It kind of hurts it still hasn't happened. In other news, the Sale on my Paintings has ended because I said so. Three months was long enough without results, so back up they went. I have added some new work though. 5 new pieces from late 2020 were added. I suspect I should have another 5 pieces up shortly. Check them out in the Original Art page.
